Being in a city, probably 98 percent of the things that would make a squirrel dead are _not_ things you need to worry about. Washing hands with soap was probably a good idea, just for the two percent. (For future reference? If there is anything you want to worry about with dead mammals, it's probably fleas. Which means you should check her hair more than her hands. And no, you don't need to scour through her scalp with a fine comb. A quick brush with the hand against the grain should bring any of the little vermin to the surface. And you're not going to find any of those unless the squirrel was _freshly_ dead (like in, seconds dead, not minutes, hours or days)). Yes, you will probably laugh about the dead squirrel incident. And maybe embarrass her with the tale in front of some beau some time.
